Tanzania is a sub-Saharan country with a stable economic and political system. The country’s economy is heavily dependent on agriculture, which employs 80 per cent of the 60 million population and accounts for 85 per cent of exports. Exports are mainly cotton, coffee and nuts – mainly to India, Japan and Europe. Mining of minerals – mainly gold, diamonds, tanzanite and coal – is a significant part of the economy.
Politically, Tanzania is a pluralistic parliamentary democracy with a presidential system of government. The country is currently headed by President Samia Suluhu Hassan. The political system is very stable.
These characteristics make Tanzania very suitable for the implementation and development of business projects. Combined with its unique natural heritage, led by the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks, it is one of the most interesting African countries, which also has very positive relations with the Czech Republic.
